The community and LJPB have been working over the past 4 years to eliminate sidewalk vending in our natural and scenic shoreline parks. The proliferation of the commercial activity and vending take-over along our coastline, including at Scripps Park/Cove and Children’s Pool, has negatively affected and diminished the character and value of natural open space. Parks and beaches are designed for recreation, connection to nature, leisure, and getting away from the urban.  And finally in April 2024, the City and the Parks & Recreation Dept. Park Rangers are enforcing the ‘no vending’ at our shoreline parks and beaches.
